CFC Underwriting launches MedSurance™
A one-stop insurance solution for health and well-being practitioners
Specialist underwriting agency CFC Underwriting has launched a new comprehensive medical malpractice, general liability and office policy for small health and well-being practitioners.
MedSurance™ is the first complete professional insurance package for this sector that ensures there will be no gaps between the practicing liability, general liability and office cover for practitioners who operate in small clinics or individually. It offers a one-stop insurance solution for a wide range of health and well-being professionals including psychologists, speech therapists, naturopaths, reflexologists, fitness instructors, herbalists, yoga instructors, homeopaths, iridologists and many more.
With medical malpractice cover as standard, MedSurance™ is a flexible, modular policy allowing brokers to tailor the coverage required to the specific needs of their individual clients, by adding cover for their premises and/or general liabilities. This has the unique advantage of ensuring that all of a professional's insurance requirements can be catered for without the risk of gaps in coverage that is faced when buying separate policies.
Andrew Holmes, Director at CFC Underwriting Ltd, explains: "MedSurance™ offers small clinics and health practitioners a comprehensive solution to their insurance needs. It ensures that a professional's medical malpractice and general liabilities and premises are covered, without overlap, or more importantly omission. But, because it's modular, it can be tailored to a client's specific needs, providing peace of mind and helping to keep premiums to a minimum."
MedSurance™ cover includes:
- Broad form medical malpractice cover
- Employer's Liability and General Liability
- Commercial property and business interruption cover
Premiums start from as little as GBP 750, making it extremely affordable for smaller independent companies and sole traders, and limits of up to GBP 5 million are available.
