CFC Underwriting appoints Janine Eagles from MediaPro to establish new media division
Specialist lines underwriting agency CFC announces today the appointment of Media Underwriter Janine Eagles who joins from Axis Capital (formerly MediaPro) with the remit to establish a media specialism at CFC. The news follows the recent appointment of Laurence Rossini, Technology underwriter from Hiscox and forms part of CFC's strategy of expansion across related professional lines.
Business Development Director, Graeme Newman explains: "CFC has long been established as an expert in writing Tech business and moving into media is the next logical step for us. There is often a very grey area between what is classed as a tech risk and what is deemed media; with the advent of Web 2.0 and the explosion of social networking this grey area is only increasing. Janine is one of the leading players in this field and we're delighted to welcome her onboard. Her expertise will complement that of our existing Tech team and for brokers, many of whom have both media and tech clients and some that are 'a bit of both', it will provide a truly comprehensive service.
Janine started her career as a broker and has held underwriting positions in the Lloyd's/London market for the past ten years, including at Aon Underwriting Management before it was acquired by Axis.
On joining CFC she commented: "CFC is a fast moving organisation with exciting plans. It is great to be joining a team where there is such a can-do attitude. It's not about shoe-horning risks into policies by adding exclusion after exclusion. Janine lives in Essex and is married with two young sons.
